SPC Film Festival: BSPharm 1D entries

In preparation for the incoming San Pedro College Film Festival 2010, the freshies of BS Pharmacy prepared an array of short films to showcase their talents in acting, filming, etc., and to harness, as well, these talents.

I am featuring here the entries from the section where I belong, BS Pharm1D:

Here is the first entry: "HIBANG (A Mother's Love)
". This is the movie entry of Group 1. A short thriller movie starring Charmaine Labarite, Donna Rose Acosta, Bong Karno Soria (shown in the theatrical poster) and Aubrey Virtudazo. The story is all about a mother's ultimate love towards her daughter(Acosta as Carla), that makes the mother(Labarite as Cristy) selfish and harmful. The affair(Soria as Chris) of Carla was being suspected to be the killer due to his unusual actions. First the boss, later the officemates. Carla's bestfriend (Virtudazo as Aubrey) will be the next, will she get killed? But in the end Chris will find out who really the killer is.

This is the theatrical poster of the other entry: "
OBSESSION". The movie entry of Group 2 starring Justin Shinn Ng and Dhaerica Crisostomo. A dramatic film, about a man who is obsessively in love with a girl, that led him to a wrong move. Also featuring a mother's love towards his son that made her decide mistakenly.

There are also other entries of other BS Pharmacy first year classes of SPC.

Watch out for the official viewing of these short films on March 13, 2010(Saturday), from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the SPC Audio-Visual Rooms.

Awarding will proceed.

El Niño outbreak: DOH Advisory

The Department of Health’s National Center for Health Promotion (NCHP) and National Center for Disease Prevention and Control (NCDPC) recently released a health advisory to the public as the country begins to feel the effects of El Nino. The El Nino phenomenon is characterized by extreme climactic conditions – either extreme temperature rise with a little rainfall, and the opposite extreme, unusually heavy rainfall. The former condition is what the Philippines is currently experiencing.
“This extremely hot weather carries with it its own effects on health, so we came out with an advisory to inform the public about the potential health risks, and what they can do to safeguard themselves,” Health Secretary Esperanza Cabral said.

FREE CONDOMS?!

The Department of Health (DOH) clarified today that the condoms given last Valentine’s weekend were not meant to promote artificial contraception, but rather a reminder to the public of the importance of responsible sexual behavior in combating the threat of HIV/AIDS. The Ingat Lagi, My Valentine campaign, which was held last February 13 at the Dangwa Flower Market in Manila, has received criticism from the Catholic Church for supposedly being “immoral”.

The DOH, reiterating the words of Deputy Presidential Spokesman Ricardo Saludo, explained that the condom distribution should not be construed as a signal that the government is advocating sexual licentiousness. The free condoms were just a tool of a creative campaign aimed at promoting awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention at a most opportune time – Valentine’s Day. READ MORE

Cool video: T-shirt War!!!

I'm a total fun of videos showing talents(that I envy so much) of some freaks. These guys used a number of shirts to portray a humor. This is really cool. Better if you see it for yourself.

Will I blame my parents for giving me no genes of extraordinary talent? :((

My excitement unconcealed!!! It's me, Bong

I am a total blogger. I love lurking around the world wide web looking for kinda fun stuff to feed up my hunger of curiosity. Reading blogposts, especially those that are funny, sexy, interesting, etc., yet informative, gives chill to my stressful world.

There are those times when it came to my mind to invest in this kinda refreshing hobby. They say it's "refreshing" 'coz you can express your thoughts, experiences, learnings, feelings, anything! Hooh! The time has come. My IT class had me the opportunity to do this(my utmost gratitude to sir Faller). I'm so excited......no words can express this kind of feeling.......my excitement is unconcealed!

Let me now introduce my self formally. I'm Bong (call me this), Bong Karno(not this)
E. Soria, 17--getting ready in becoming 18. I'm a freshman in San Pedro College, Davao City. A BS Pharmacy freshy(few months to go and I'm not). So much for this, for me.

Now, let me introduce my self, informally. (Commencing weird thoughts) I'm a not so attractive, yet aggressive guy(wondering why I don't have any girlfiend). I act immaturely, yet think wittily. I study hard, but have fun harder(trying to let go of this). I am "plump", yet healthy. I work. I play. I hurt. I pray. I love. I hate. I wonder. I learn. I wander. I frighten. I fool. I'm fool(and full). I jog. I jump. I swim. I crawl. I walk. I run. And I'm running out of words.

This I have to end my very first blogpost. Please do follow this blog. I'll try my best to make this very very fun, yet very informative. Through this, you'll be able to share your thoughts, ideas, feelings, everything! This will really be full of stuff, fun stuff...stuff...ahh!....I found the words--Bits of Life!
